“Soka Lami” will mark the first track from the singer Ze2 on our site and on the song she delivers a soulful expression of her yearning to attain a partner in life to share her experiences with. Ze2 has this to say about the single; “I was inspired by a voice note from a long lost partner who left and never looked back… The song is written in narration or description on how life was during his absence.”
Ze2 is a female singer, born 03 March 1994, who lives in Durban, Umlazi Township. She is a versatile singer, who specializes in Afro-Pop music. She began her music career 10 years ago. She has performed on several musical programs and events around Durban and other places in KZN. She’s worked with many well-known artists like Zakwe, Amanda Black, Spirit Banger, Musiholiq, X-Wise, Rafiki, Mzulu, CampMasters, FunkyQla, and Dj Nkoh. She is currently studying Logistics Management at the University of Zululand. She’s also a mother of two beautiful girls who are her biggest motivation. She has participated in many competitions and won a feature to sing with Amanda Black. She usually performs at some events around Umlazi for free just to show gratitude for her community’s support. She’s very grateful for her brother and parent’s presence in her life. Their love, dedication and support of her music has helped her sow a seed of passion and devotion for singing and music.
Zakwe on the other have been one of the best hip hop artist in Mzansi with series of hit tracks to his name like his massive moments on his last joint project he named after his name Zakwe Duncan Album and also on Kid Tini’s new “The Second Coming Album” where they went on a loggerhead on Bafana alongside BlaQ Diamond. Now lending efforts to Ze2 on her first love song Soka Lami shows they’re set for the Valentines day.
